Radosław Binkiewicz is a Graduate of MA in Iranian Studies and MA in International Relations, from the University of Warsaw. His main areas of interest and expertise lie in the security architecture of the Middle East, Central Asia and Caucasus, geopolitics, geostrategy and energy policy. Professionally involved in the organisation of Warsaw Security Forum and the 2025 Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, working as a Liaison Officer to foreign delegations.
Facing Russian threats and Transatlantic rifts, Poland should make the Baltic Sea a pillar of its grand strategy: joining NB8 permanently, building a military partnership with Sweden, and reducing US arms reliance via cooperation with Sweden, Turkey and Ukraine, boosting deterrence and autonomy.
Iran built self-reliance in defence through autarky, reverse engineering, civil-military fusion, and dual-use tech, driven by sanctions pressure. This created an unbalanced system, both innovative and obsolete, pushing Iran toward asymmetric warfare, a doctrine seriously challenged in 2025.
